Lauren Grubke, LPC-Associate
With 12 years of experience as a competitive gymnast, Lauren brings a unique perspective to her work with high-level athletes. She understands the pressure, stress, and performance anxiety that can come with competitive sports. Lauren is passionate about helping current and retired athletes navigate the mental health challenges they face while maintaining a healthy balance between their athletic pursuits and personal lives. Whether you are dealing with performance anxiety, injury recovery, or the emotional challenges of transitioning out of competitive sports, Lauren provides a supportive environment for athletes to; build mental resilience, manage stress and performance pressure, develop a strong sense of self-worth beyond athletics, and find balance between their sport and personal identity
Lauren’s expertise spans a range of therapeutic practices, but she is especially known for her work with childhood trauma and abuse recovery. She understands the profound and lasting impact these experiences can have on an individual’s development and overall mental health. By providing a safe, empathetic, and supportive space, Lauren empowers her young clients to process their emotions and heal from their experiences at their own pace. Lauren offers Play Therapy, a specialized therapeutic approach that allows children to express their feelings, process traumatic experiences, and develop coping mechanisms through the natural language of play. Play Therapy is particularly effective for young clients because it helps them explore complex emotions in a way that feels safe and familiar. In Lauren’s care, children find a nurturing environment where they can work through difficult emotions and experiences, leading to healing and emotional growth.
